This Civic Type R came in for a downpipe install and left with that and more. Since the Type R’s engine is rotated 180* compared to Audi’s 2.0T, the downpipe is located closest to the front bumper, rather than the transmission. This makes the installation much easier but brings up the possibility of heat soak. As a precaution, the downpipe was heat-wrapped with a fiberglass base wrap to contain the heat as best as possible and keep heat-soaking temps as low as possible while maximizing performance.
